Born in March 1977 in Lucknow, Tripti Kaur Pahwa is one of the leading Indian relief mural artists of the generation that emerged in the wake of the influence of paintings and artworks through exhibitions. Tripti, had a keen interest in paintings since her early childhood. Colours and paints would always fascinte her. She admired the paintings in informal classes at different artists’ atelier in 2000. This gave an insight to her and she absorbed the acute attention of colours and patches and same year she decided to convert her hobby into profession, and laid the foundation of “KALAKRITI CREATIONS”.

Tripti’s work involve all kind of artworks consisting of sculptures, oil paintings, acrylic paintings, fabric paintings, broken and stain glass paintings. Her most popular work which is also referred as extraordinary is of ‘relief murals’. As per Wikipedia mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other large permanent surface. A distinguishing characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture.

Tripti till date has exhibited her artworks in many renowned places including Dilli Haat-2005, Lalit Kala Academy 2007, Railway Officer’s Club 2013, Awadh Shilp Gram 2016, Indra Gandhi Pratishthan (IGP) in 2016, and many more workshops are being taken by her most recent one is the clay modelling workshop held in the Girls Observation Home in Barabanki.

Tripti is currently running two separate units divided into Project and Institutional unit in Lucknow, UP, India. Her work can be found in myriad of public and private art collections both India and abroad. She, with her team of KALAKRITI CREATIONS, has taken a workshop in India’s famous ‘Daan Utsav- Joy of Giving Week’ for the children in the slums of Barabanki,UP. She was also recently awarded BAL MITRA AWARD-2016, by the STATE WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT, UP. Way to go Tripti.
